The AWC provides a variety of educational opportunities every year that focus on a variety of industry topics, create industry awareness and help AWC members improve their professional business skills. These vital business skills empower and encourage AWC members to grow their business. Here are some highlights:
March: AWC held its fiftth workshop entitiled " Market Your Business-Creating Habits for Success" presented by Cathy Paper of Live Dynamite. Attendees were very pleased with the information and left the seminar reinvigorated and energized.
On March 20, AWC held its " A.B.C.'s with AWC: Always Building Connections." The event was held at Major's Sports Cafe in Bloomington. Featured speaker was Mn/DOT EEO Office of Civil Rights who provided an update on new services and projects.
February: AWC presented it's fourth workshop in a series of sox entitled Cash Flow Managment. The presentation was provided by AWC member Brunberg Blatt and Company LLC.
On the 21 of March, Associate Member Gold Knutson Construction Services held a general contractor open house. The event drew a great turnout of AWC and NAMC members. Attendees were updated on the many projects of Knutson including Regions Hospital.
January: AWC presented it's third workshop entitiled "Strategic Planning for Your Company" presented by AWC WBO Member Edgestone Consulting Inc. The program drew a full house of wbo members eager to learn about and or improve their process.
December: Edinburgh USA, Brooklyn Park was the location for AWC's Annual Holiday Celebration. The event boasted over 22 company sponsors and over 100 attendees. The event featured a silent auction, live music and plated dinner. Attendees enjoyed networking, shopping and fellowship with members and guests of the evening.
November: AWC held it's second workshop entitled "Construction From Start to Finish:
Contracts, Liens and Legal Remedies" presented by three member attorney firms: Dyanna Street of Fabyanske, Westra, Hart & Thomson, P.A., Sarah Fisher of Rinke Noonan and Maret Olson of Morrison Fenske & Sund.
October: AWC launched its' new workshop series entitiled "Workers Compensation/Risk Management" presented by Associate Member Gold Minnesota Insurance Brokers. The workshop was held at Major's Sports Cafe in Roseville. Many aspects of the topic were discussed and attendees left the event well informed.
